Sam leads the talent and recruiting team for Craft Ventures and its portfolio companies. Over the last 15+ years, he has helped a broad array of technology companies recruit and retain talented individuals, leaders, and executives. Sam comes to Craft from True Search, an industry-leading executive search firm, where he spent 5+ years in leadership positions. Most recently he served as a Partner and Practice Lead of their Early Stage Venture team. Prior to joining True, Sam worked for four years in early stage startups in the Bay Area. During this time he led talent acquisition for a seed-backed video ad platform who quadrupled headcount during his time and also led sales recruiting for a Series B backed SaaS company where he hired 30+ senior sales executives/leaders.
